This young owl still has the brown feathers of a first year bird. Located near Mauston, Wisconsin, this owl has been in the area for several months. A rare visitor to Wisconsin, so every birder in the area has been out seeking a "life" observation.
Nine Springs Natural Area Observation Deck
The Nine Springs Natural Area is managed for birds. Those unable to walk the trails can use a boardwalk and the observation to see two ponds and the creek up close.
Wisconsin Spring Farm
taken from a hot air balloon over Cottage Grove. the creek lighted by the sunset, the land showing it's contours, and the farm. All a perfect example of Wisconsin.
