The female Osprey is bringing dry grass to add to the nest for this nesting season.
Prairie Chicken 2019-3
Sometimes for whatever reason a male Greater Prairie Chicken will jump into the air flapping its wings and make strange noises. Quite the sight to see, hear and photograph.
Sandhill Crane 2019-4
When i took this photo the Sandhill Cranes had only started arriving a couple of weeks now so i was very happy to get an in flight photo such as this.
Prairie Chicken 2019-1
Spring is here in central Wisconsin and the Greater Prairie Chickens are on the booming grounds. It was a very foggy morning and gave a unique look to the images i took.
Sandhill Crane 2019-3
The last light of the day was shining down into this pothole with a beautiful Sandhill Crane.
Dancing Sandhill Crane 2019-2
Spring is here says the Sandhill Crane jumping for joy.
Hoar Frost at BVG 2018-8
The hoar frost was amazing to behold as can be seen in this image.
The BVG in the title stands for Buena Vista Grasslands.
The Junkyard 2018-1
The weather forecast was for sunny skies, instead we got fog and the most amazing hoar frost ever.
Photographers refer to this place as the junkyard as it has been abandoned for many years but not before many items were stored around it. The hoar frost on the grass and trees gives this an amazing look and feel.
Pony Creek 11-16-2018
Pony Creek flows into Lake Poygan here and Tustin is just to the left in the image. That point of land may be Indian Point but i am not certain of that.
The lake has a thin crust of new ice with a dusting of fresh snow when i arrived at what should have been daylight but the sky was overcast.
This is about as close as i can get with the lens i am using and have enough of the subject in focus to please me. Monarchs so love Zinnias as do i.
