Farewell Capture Wisconsin
I know there are a few more weeks left, but I thought this picture was an appropriate final posting - sitting in my kayak as the sun sets. It was a nice ride while it lasted and I enjoyed viewing everyone's photos over the years. There are some amazing photographers on this site. I learned a lot from many people. Farewell.
This female oriole decided it was her turn to enjoy some grape jelly. Neither the female or male like to share.
The orioles finally made their way north. They seem to prefer jelly over the oranges.
A little rain wasn't going to stop this tom turkey from strutting his stuff as he approached a hen turkey.
Back on the Bay
The Bay is once again open for paddling. A few small ice shoves along the shore of Peninsula State Park.
H.J. Nelson's Truck
This old chevy pickup sits tucked away behind a collapsing barn in Egg Harbor.
A Frosty Cherry Orchard
The hoar frost settled in overnight creating an icy display in the cherry orchards surrounding Egg Harbor.
The shoreline of Lake Michigan is stacked with sheets of ice that blew in and piled up. Just Mother Nature creating ice sculptures.
Following the polar vortex, Door County is once again open for kayaking. Paddle safe.
Cave Point at Sunset
The trail from Cave Point to Whitefish Dunes State Park has some pretty spectacular views now, and you can even catch a sunset.
