Sometimes you have to stick your neck out
I enjoy watching birds and find them quite comical. Red breasted grosbeak checking things out.
She liked to sit on the swing. He liked to sit on his porch and have his morning coffee as he read the paper and watched the sunrise. He got sick and they sold their cottage. He liked to stir the pot and cause a little drama. When he died she said he was probably in purgatory. I visited the cottage they once owned to catch the sunrise. I sent her this picture and told her he probably had a hand in the sunrise and that he was probably out of purgatory. She agreed.
Fun watching these three squirrels go in and out of this hole as fast as they could.
I thought it was interesting how this wasp, bee looked like it had a human face. It was enjoying my daffodil.
Do not worry, be happy!
Kids are happy just sticking their tongue out! My granddaughter Grace having fun at the Green Bay Wildlife Sanctuary.
I thought the butterflies wing looked like lace is this photo. Usually I try to get a photo with the brighter side of the butterfly showing but I kind of liked this side.
I believe this is called a Scilla flower. A spring bulb flower. I have some but this one was taken at the Green Bay Botanical Garden.
Noticed the Northern Flicker was back when I was up at our cottage this weekend. Northern Flickers are one of the few woodpeckers that migrate.
My crystal ball
I bought this lens ball last year and had not really used it. Decided to set it on my bird feeder and see what stopped by. Did not take to long and Mr. Cardinal showed up.
Pair of Wood ducks
This pair of wood ducks are at the Green Bay Wildlife Sanctuary. I didn’t get to talk with anyone there to see why they are there. They are in the area where other birds that can not fly or only fly short distances are. I thought it was interesting that they were outside the display. They did not seen scared that I was so close. I also thought it was interesting that they had a pair. I put this in Zoo animals category because I felt like they are in a area like a zoo and can not leave.
I am a new lover of photography. Hopefully I will get better with every shot. I enjoy the outdoors and never leave my house without my camera now. You could say it's my new obsession. My grandson starts to smile as soon as I take the camera out! I guess I have him trained!
